Late 1944 M35 7,65mm German occupation Beretta

One of the pieces I added with the sale of most of my K98s....collection is becoming more eccentric and eclectic.

Matched, phosphate finish, came with 1 flat magazine ($350). Poorly struck 4UT acceptance. A second SA marked finger magazine came today. Action stiff and rough. Previous owner had not fired it. I think it will be better once I put a couple of boxes through it.

German deliveries in 1944 started about SN 509K in March with a blue finish. Parkerized finish began around SN 520K. This is SN 571K; production ceased at 618K. Very late pieces left the factory with no finish. Production resumed after the war and continued until 1980.

Shooting will be some time off in the future as I finally get my rotator cuff surgery Wednesday.

Late ones are crude and messy, but really neat. That flat base mag is really hard to find and stated to be a second mag.

Here are a few pics of a late war Italian made holster for the M1934/35, as well as the milled base mags. Cast base mags are post war. The leather is a distinctive gray-green color. The Germans used the same holster, which had no markings. You can see how nicely finished the pistols were in 1941.

I always liked the PP type green holsters better than the earlier ones they used.

Second finger magazine came today. This is my 5th Beretta...I love the type, but the lanyard ring is painful for a lefty. I had 3 M34s, but the larger caliber was too painful for much shooting; .32 is OK for a 100 or so.

These late phosphate Beretta pistols are neat to collect. And still at decent prices.

I have 4 Beretta pistols; 3 super late 600XXX ones and a really nice early high polish commercial one.

The super late ones are neat to collect too:
