Acquired the last WW2 7,65mm I plan to get. Several others I want, but I needed this one to complete my display at WW2 events. Six-digit serial number, late 1941, Belgian FN 1910/22 under German occupation. 363,000 made. About 100,000 into the production run under occupation; early second variation. Put-together rig.

Took it to the range today, 35 feet. Nine rounds of three different hollow points (Speer, Fiochhi, Winchester), and a partial box of Fiochhi ball. Wouldn't feed my Buffalo Bore SWCs. One misfeed early, then no issues.

Interesting note on feeding hps in older handguns. I’ve found that bullet shape is important in feeding, my older 9mms (luger, P1) dont feed short hps well (really not at all) & sometimes not in modern handguns. (LC9, p320

It’s worth testing if you may be using a handgun for protection, it’d be really rude to have it jam up when trying to feed round #2.
7.65 content: I’ll have to check how well hps feed in my HSc, though rather $$ to shoot it !

I have 9 "German" 7,65mms, and 2 American;

1918 M13 Sauer, Imperial
1915 M14 Mauser, Imperial
1941 FN10/22, Occupation
1942 P27, Occupation
1939 Walther PPk, Commercial
1909 M07 Dreyse, Prussian Customs
1943 Sauer 38h, Police
1943 Mauser HSc, Military
1944 M35 Beretta, Occupation
1909 Savage
1906 M03 Colt

Of the lot, the FN, Beretta, and Sauer are particular. None will take my Buffalo Bore hard lead SWCs. As you said, shorter hollow points cause problems as well in some of the pistols. Speer Gold Dots have worked well. After one such incident, I learned to cycle rounds through a new pistol BEFORE I went to the range.

My 1916 Luger won't take anything but ball. I haven't tried HP in my 1917 Colt 1911 or 1944 Walther P38. My 1910 Colt 25 eats ball, SWC, and HP.
