So a few months ago I purchased a deactivated kar98 (I'm 17 and I live in Ireland so its the best I can do). I noticed right away that the the rear iron sight and tangent slider don't match. The slider has a bar that reaches from one button to the other while the actual sight is one that would be used with a slider without a bar. There is a very small hole under the bar through which you can line up the front and rear sights but its relatively difficult. The user welded on another sight at the back end of the bolt so it could've just been them replacing a broken part but I would like your opinions on it. If its any help the tangent sight is from a S/42G rifle and the rest of the rifle is made up of a mish mash of different serial numbers.
