hello guys , i have a kar 98a amberg 1911 with a strange "hook"
this is not welded but has a screw thread at the end...so you can easily remove it
i think is a job done from someone after ww1 ,any idea ?

Impossible to say what you have with this picture... but the serial on the stacking hook is bogus.
 
Very peculiar, never seen anything like it but Im pretty sure it's not german. Let's see some more pictures, you don't get to see many Amberg Kar98s.

maybe some one cut it off at one point and realized that was a bad idea? haha but this is very weird .
