Here for your viewing pleasure is my Type 26 9mm revolver serial number 5369. First adopted in 1894 the Type 26 Revolver gets its designation from Emperor Meiji’s 26th year on the throne. It was one year earlier than the gun’s acceptance date, but the year in which the design was perfected. Some 59000 were produced from 1893 to 1935 at the Imperial Japanese Army Tokyo Arsenal.
