I got these two boxesd of German ammo for $5.50 each. Should I run back to the store and buy the remaining boxes or is this ammo just so-so? Thanks...

German WW2 ammo is about as good as it gets (provided its been properly stored). Can't beat the price either.

Yeah. what they said. If this was stored well it is great stuff.. I have loads of it.

mow.

Bought quite a bit of this stuff when I was a kid for .68 cents per 15 round original box at K-Mart. Most of it is really nice, clean stuff with brass cases, green primer seals, late 1930s dates, and P135 head stamps. The original paper labels had been removed, and each box was stamped "8MM MAUSER" IN RED. I fired a box of it recently and found it to be clean, sure fire, and very accurate.

Probably you all know, but Zündhutchen (Zdh) [18]88 is corrosive; Zdh [19]38 is non-corrosive.

I believe the first NC primer used was the zdh.30 which was used in full power ammo only a few years. It was replaced by the zdh. 30/40 and finally the zdh. 43. I agree, with good storage, great ammo. JH
