Hi,

Sorry if that has already been discussed but I am looking for a link, book or place where I can find information on all or most common scopes used on K98 during WW2.

Any recommendations?

Thanks
Michal

Matt this Book in link only Covers WWI , Reichswehr , and Pre WWII . Nothing in it for WWII the other Book is needed . Best Regards
Good catch Dave. I didn't pay attention to the date. Yes OP find Robert's other book covering WWII scopes.

I can only see the German version in paper - will have a look. Thanks a lot - exactly what I need!

I have seen only 2 Copies of Robert`s WW2 Reference Book for sale this Year both were from Germany and Price was outrageous 240Euros a copy . Best Regards .

And they could well be worth it, as my friend Dave probably knows. Some books turn out to be better investments than guns. I am betting Mike and Bruce's will be but I do not buy them for that reason. Clawson's big book on the M1911 and A1s was about $60 signed when introduced. It is now $750 to twice that.

The scope question is quite complex so an answer here would be quite a challenge and beyond the skill of many of us. That is why a book has been recommended.

A copy of German Sniper rifles from Peter Senich(?spelling), may be more affordable and useful but it is less than definitive. The three book series on the K98 previously mentioned will also be helpful.

Mike they may very well be worth that price to someone who wants one very badly . I told a friend who wanted one as the German dealer was at SOS last Year and that friend said he did note want to spend that much . But then the same friend was having second thoughts when I last spoke with him . So for some new collectors its not outside the thought of spending that . I may even consider it now . But at that time it was unthinkable price . Best Regards

I am reading all the posts but happy to be directed to a good book as well. Thanks for all directions.
