Documenting this one for posterity. Apparently sold by Pre98 recently, so I'm sure it will pop up again. Bolt and barrel renumbered to match the mount. 13k spent on this junk.

I have personally handled this rifle. This same rifle was advertised during this last 6 months on another auction site for a "buy it now price" of 16,500.00 and was marked "sold or removed". At that time it did include the scope's original matching LSR case. On this last GB auction the scope case was not included, I wonder where it went? Real shame that the case/scope got separated. I did call the first auction site to inquire about the case as I was interested but the dealer was real jumpy and would not comment about the LSR rifle at all and abruptly cancelled the call. I will say the rifle was very nice, but there appear to be issues.

That seller has had several humped rifles listed not just K's either. There is a "original" 1903 currently looks good from 5'. but original.....Not!

When Pre98 had the rifle, there was a legit, matching to the mount, scope can which has since been separated from rest. It was probably easier the renumber the rifle than the mount & can.

Isn't it illegal to alter serial numbers on crucial parts like receiver or frame? This one has no serial on receiver, so I assume one on barrel is crucial.

Yes it is Illegal to change/alter a serial number

Not if the bolt doesn't match either.

This shows a major problem with some sniper collectors. They tend to over look at the rifle. They just see that mount and nothing else. Whoever made this must have known how his buyers think.
