Identification help: Late war K98k bolt body, Pictures now.

I have what I think is a late war bolt body. It has two round holes under the firing pin, no rib, phosphate body with a blued handle with rough milling marks. It has a nazi proof on the rear of the bolt handle root, four digit serial number on the root top and a large V w/serifs on the bottom of the bolt root. Enough to tell who made it?

Many thanx, Chuck.

ps. the extractor has an Imperial proof

Could be a bnz45 bolt, or VK98 bolt. Too hard to tell without photos, but the bolt handle is probably phosphate too with patina that makes is appear blue.

Pictures now added.

Pictures are now up. I tried to edit the main title, I guess I just do not know how.

After seeing these photos I'm positive, it's a bolt body from a Steyr VK98 Volksturm rifle. Here's a few links to what the rifles look like:

http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?373-VK-98-Steyr-V-5

The extra notch cut in the back of the bolt is to aid disassembly since these bolts usually lack the detent pin in the gas shield, and is a VK98 feature (see red arrow pointing to extra notch).

They were numbering parts on a Volksturm rifle. That's crazy. What was the point?

Bolt body and barrel were numbered, thats it! Regardless of the terrible quality, it's still German (well......Austrian in this case).
