Can anyone help identify these two items and give me a value of sorts? I would like to find a home for them.

Maybe for a horse. Throughout WWII, the German army used tremendous numbers of horses to haul artillery and supplies to the front lines. Kind of ironic, considering that the Germans were developing jet fighters, cruise missiles, ICBMs, and other futuristic implements of war while their infantry pretty much traveled on foot and relied on horses.
