"Greek knife" 1903/14 bayonet with steel scabbard

I have this 1903/14 "greek knife" in the collection for a while now and wanted to ask, if there are other known pieces with the same style metal scabbard. My literature only depicts examples with the typical leather scabbard.
Can you say (as a generalization), that if there's a german WW1 bayonet, there also exists a steel scabbard model/variant for it? Curious to hear your input.




"Standard" leather scabbard (which unfortunately has shrunk a little over time) for comparison:



The mouth piece has the same opening style as the regular scabbard. No markings are apparent on it.

Is there any marking on the frog hook, interestingly the M03/14 /98 rework is marked with bavarian unit, which is certainly scarce, the metall scabbards normally were fitted with M27 and M30 Mannlicher Schoenauer production.

Recently I have been interested in the S14s variations, and after consulting a friend I picked this up. Bavarian used conversion of a Greek bayonet made by Simson. Neat that it’s marked with the c/R acceptance that you see on Bavarian weapons across the board.

I'm not certain if these are remnants of a stamp or simply rust pitting, but have a look for yourself:

It looks like Greek St.Georgius? so i dont believe its a crown /H as typical on bavarian M03/14/98. It could be a scabbard used with Breda or italian refinished M1927 pieces.

Does not look like German acceptance to me, but there could have been a mark there at one point. Either way, wonderful bayonet, i have only seen photos of a couple other unit marked ones.
