Gewehr 98 - WMO 1907 - Matching - W/First Pattern Radium Night Sights

Hi guys,

Posted this rifle a while back. Figured it was worth a repost, with semi better photos and the night sights I added.

Rifle was made by WMO in 1907. It is matching. Except for an armorers firing pin and cleaning rod. Definitely on the salty side. I’ll take it for being a pre-war rifle. Wears a first pattern sling. Night sights are machined first pattern.

Enjoy the semi better photos,
-Danny

That's a fine rifle even if it's a bit salty and a very nice bayonet to go with it, pre wars are definitely uncommon compared to war time. I'd be thrilled to even see an intact matching Gewehr 98 in my area, Imperial German firearms are rarer than hen's teeth for whatever reason.
