According to barrel trends, this lot and date typically are G98's length, one is an exact match - though it is not clear this is always the case but I would be curious if the barrel has been cut down from an earlier re-barrel or made 98k length. ERMA made both, but this is early and early seem to be G98 length (MB and ERMA were G98 ordnance spare barrel suppliers early on)
Anyway take pictures of the rearsight parts, the front sight, maybe the steps if they look possibly altered.
**Typically true conversions (cutting down a G98 length barrel and altering an original stock even better) are far more rare and the more common re-barreling a G98 receiver to make a 98k are far more common and not especially valuable unless very original rifles as a whole. This may be a hybrid of sorts, a true conversion of a G98 length barrel, granted an ordnance spare itself, but still more interesting than than a normal 98k "conversion" but replacement of parts...
