Evaluate this bcd 4

I’d save your money and wait for something good, for another $5-700 you can buy one thats 100% and needs no apologies 😄.
 
Is that electropenciling I see on the gas shield of the bolt? It's hard to see while I'm on my phone.
 
I'm also confused by the trigger guard and floor plate. Is this a scenario where they were using up old milled parts at the factory because they ran out of the correct stamped parts? The floor plate has an imperial stamp.

I originally thought that too, it looks like the finish was altered on some stuff, possibly trying to remove the Black Russian dip?
 
more likely to remove the non matching numbers that were on them. the bolt body was definitely ep’d, but they scrubbed it. the back of the cocking piece, the top of the gas shield, the black firing w/no sn at all, the finish on most of the parts is black, not blued. i don’t think the extractor or collar would be e/77 parts, the floor plate might have been milled, but the shape is less rounded than this imperial marked one.

The takedown disc and crossbolt look to have been doused with stain of some kind. The whole stock has an unnatural look as does the metal. The bolt root looks to have been altered. Perhaps the name says it all: family firearms & finishes.
 
Definitely not worth $1700 IMHO. Bolt parts scrubbed most likely as not matching. e/77 and e/37 parts not correct in any case and extractor is not matching as well. Bore does look outstanding at least.
