Early Buchenwald KKW??

So, Buchenwald KKW production is mentioned as starting around 265xxx. Simpson mentions (pg. 287) SN 264707 "Stock Marking Change (Buchenwalde manufacture), but no mention of what the stock marking is to indicate B'wald..

Previously, I assumed B'wald guns required E/749, but apparently All E/749 are B'wald but some lacking a waff are also BW made. I expect a BW gun will have an "S" at the wrist, and likely a non grooved rear band?

Here's my 266xxx with "III S" marked wrist with grooved rear band that I am calling BW mfg.

Thoughts?

I believe my Gustloff in the 20k s/n range has an S (Serif font - Yours is San-Serif) on the underside of the grip or buttstock... interesting. I tell you what BOB I will take it out tomorrow and take a picture of it just for YOU, wouldn't do it for anyone else.

I mention my "S" because I have no clue what it means, @mauser99 any clues?
