Deal of a Lifetime?

Very impressive collection.
Quite certain the case is post war Soviet. I tried to find pictures but I’ve seen that style of case filled with refurbished TT33’s and Russian Captured P38’s.

We laugh, but there are people out there who won't do the homework, won't do the math, and have too much money, and for whom the "Coolness factor" of doing this would be overpowering.

You can tell what’s easy to find from his collection.

Only lists two as having a matching magazine.. doesn't discuss condition or whether or not all the guns have matching metal / grips. Usually one gets a discount when buying in bulk. I'd expect the price to be half what it is, if not less. Maybe if he sits on it for another 20 years it will be worth that?

Yeah, I kinda figured he is a crack smoker with that price, probably just seeing if anyone is dumb enough to bite...I figured there is no way they are worth $4,800 each...

Thats why I posted it here, sanity check...

Even when considering the price would be fair for each pistol: there are very few collectors out there that have $ 145k spare (and atop are specifically interested in Lugers). And those collectors that could invest this kind of money, well they usually have these pistols already. So either he might luck into someone dumb, or he will keep them.

My mistake the metal case may be WWII correct, at least for P38’s.

I know the Polish made a wooden copy of this metal chest for their version of the TT33’s.
I ordered one thinking it would be a cool way to store and display my TT33 and variation collection. However when I received my crate it was the elongated Soviet version. Problem with crates is I always need to fill them....K98, SVT40, Mosin Nagant, SKS, VZ24 etc.

However, maybe this guy is aware of some weird calculation that multiplies the value of a Milsup if placed into a crate? Just maybe my TT’s are now magically worth 1k each....

Perhaps a collector who is throwing out a price and seeing what happens. As stated above someone with too much money may surprise him.
