Danzig 1915 Gew98. Radom refurbished

Interesting Polish refurbishment of Danzig 1915 Gew98 rifle done at Radom factory. Radom barrel and stock added. Parts renumbered to match. Old style rear sight and sling swivel installed on new barrel and stock. Bolt is polish but mismatched. I believe that besides bolt this is how this rifle left Radom factory. Cleaning rod is polish too. Follower in polish configuration. It doesn’t stop the bolt when empty.

Beautiful, love it!
In a perfect world, the bolt would be matching. As it is, you have a really nice rifle you should be proud of. Congratulations!

I love that stock. There aren't a ton of Radom-refurbished Gew.98's out there sporting Lange Visier sights and a Polish stamped stock. Good stuff. Have any photos of the top of the bolt?

Best,
Pat

Together with Warsaw armory refurbished Danzig 1916. That one is total mismatched with recycled Polish stock and bolt

Very beautiful rifle! Most of the Polish Gew98 reworks I have seen look ridden hard and put away wet. I agree, seeing even partially matching numbers and a Polish marked stock is a rare treat!
