This surfaced locally. Sadly missing the bayonet, I couldn’t turn it down as it’s clearly a souvenir cut from a body or person. Very soiled, awesome look. The scabbard has the correct wear from the short frog. Sand and dirt still inside. The throat screw has worn into the frog. The wear, and dirt screams DAK to me.
Anyways an interesting piece as is. A real well worn web frog is tough to find let alone the scabbard worn for that type. 99% you see are just a bayonet with leather frog wear tossed into a web frog.
