I just got a really nice code 237 1940 K98. I really want to know more about its history. Can you guys help me here and please tell me more about its history?

Welcome. Sure we can… after you provide us with a ton of pics of the rifle and it’s serial numbers and markings on both the metal and stock. Without pics, not much can be said besides the receiver being manufactured in 1940 by Berlin-Lubecker….

LouJr, take a look at the picture reference here, you’ll find rifles similar to yours to compare with, AND see what kind of pix we’re asking for. for the full view left & right sides, outdoors on an overcast day gives the best lighting. pretty much all the stamped marks on metal & wood. serial nr & block letter can give an approx production date, as well as where it fits in the series of small changes 1937-45.
