I have in my possession an unfinished ce 43 side rail sniper. It was sporterized at some time unfortunately but is a matching barreled action with the thick side rail and the milled flat on the left side of the receiver. Is it worth my time finding the parts for this and perhaps putting a repro scope set up on it? It won't be original anyways but at least close to the real thing. All markings are intact as well.

This CE43 You mention does it have any holes in the receiver or is it completely UnDrilled . Please post pics before You do anything to it .
Does the Receiver look like this Example !!!!

Yes very close for sure. I saw one once which was an RC but I didn’t buy it at the time. This is a lot better than that.

Whatever You do , PLEASE do not do anything to this barreled receiver leave it as it is . It is highly collectable and more valuable in its original state .
You would be better off restoring the Rifle , find the correct stock and bands . You maybe able to find a flat butt plate armorers stock and armorers bands .

As far as parts keep your eyes here and on line .. ebay and or gun broker . lots of stock sets available. The JPS stock is specific but any cupped butt plate stock will work.
The script CE un used sniper receivers are a bit of a mystery but, one must assume not used as intended for some reason ? Great find !!
