Capture of the Walther Factory - Zella-Mehlis 1945

I didn't spot this in the article initially - kudo's to Mr. Denny G for being quoted in this article!

Outstanding article. Ron Clarin is also the author of an excellent reference book on the Spreewerk produced P.38 pistols.

"Captured" Walther PP

Hello,

I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. Interesting read on the capture of the Walther factory. I have what I believe is one of the PP's from this chaotic time at Walther. Please take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think. The numbers might be hard to read so: Slide 386985 p, frame 388439 p. No Waffenampts and no other markings on the pistol. Magazine is marked with Walther banner and 7.65 m/m, reverse is marked W.

Welcome to the forum.

Nice looking pistol.

You should start a thread for this pistol in the Axis Handgun & Accessories forum. Generally, on a post like this, you start a new thread, because it will attract more attention then a thread about the factory.

I'm not a Walther expert, but I'm sure somebody here is.

Good pictures are always interesting.

Regards
