This is a very tough code/SN block combination to get.
Most are bcd4 and ar44 coded receivers.
Barrel code is 44D822.

Very cool. The wood looks nice. Is the bayo lug in the white? I didn't know this happened. Just realized it was phosphate  Neat that it's the only phosphate part though.
I love the long legs of the n in Mauser's font here.

Nice! Definitely a hard one to find. Really nice condition!

You didn't happen to take a look at the barrel code by chance?

Barrel code

44D822, right in line with early 'l' block.
These guns were run in parallel with the 'l' block IMO.

Thanks! The few I have recorded run in the 900 lots except for my by44 n block which has a 44D655 barrel. Obviously an earlier barrel thrown in late for whatever reason.

I have had two byf 44s for about 50 years One a C block and the other is an L or I block
not sure which. I'll post photos when I get home.

Great rifle Bruce! Big shocker there. I did notice the Heimag supplied recoil lug. Any other stock/fitting details you can provide?

I have 2 Byf 44,s I Block there barrel codes are 44D701 and 44D677, So like Bruce said they do seem to run with the N block's.

Larry all of these late Mauser builds will have un-numbered stock hardware.
Beginning in the the late 'k' block (Nov. 44) and through the end of production, no SNs on
bands and floorplate.

Stock and handguards also had no serials except for turret stocks.
