Byf 44 stock

Can someone tell me the length of a byf 44 stock. Qould like to know measurements from the cupped butt plate to the end of the wood at the front .

It would be the same length as any other cupped buttplate stock for a K98. There are engineering drawings available for free online, but if you really want I’ll measure my stock tomorrow and get back to you.
 
Having a hard time finding the information. That would be great if you could measure yours.

New to the k98 collecting. Have a chance to pick up a nice looking byf 44 semi kreigsmodell. The guy said the front of stock had been cut alittle bit. .
Also the stock is missing the washers to take the bolt apart. I see that there are reproductions . How much could this affect value ? All the serial numbers match and it is in the h block . This is all I know from doing some research. Still there is alot more to learn

From my understanding Mauser Oberndorf jumped right into full Kriegsmodell production and skipped the semi-Kriegsmodell business. So if this rifle is a byf 44 in a semi-kriegsmodell stock (sounds like no take down disk but perhaps a bayonet lug?) then I'm pretty confident that its not in its original stock. However, wait for someone else to chime in on this as I'm not 100%.

But regardless, no one is going to be able to say much without pics.

Unlikely it’s right.... a byf 44 will definitely have an Eagle/ Waa135 cartouche on the right side plus e/135 at the wrist and bottom keel. Bruce and others mention the semi-k stock for MO, but they are uncommon/ scarce/ rare.

In addition, an h-block is too early for either semi-k stock imo.

Bobs right of course as the KM mods didn’t start till the L block. Also you see an awe full lot of sporters restored using post war Czech “semi” stocks - lug but no discs - that are far more common than wartime in that configuration.
 
I was not to clear in my description of the stock. It does have holes for the stock disc's and also a wa 135 stamp. It does not have a bayonet lug and the front bands are of the late war type. Will try and post pictures

Bands should also still be numbered and I believe stock in the channel still in h. And since no one was making KMs that early an upper band with a screw hole would not be correct. Band spring is backwards too of course! Stock could be right but bands do look like post war Czech. What’s in the channel?
 
The rifle is not mine yet and friend does not want me to mess with. Price is right at $475.
The friend thats selling does not care about collecting or anything but making alittle money. He bought this from a lady that just wanted them gone.
 
Well slight mistake on price. I bought it for $500. Still happy with the price. Now to find the two bands for the front. Would this serial and block range have a bayonet lug ?
