My first K98K that started it all, got this one in 2017? Either way it's a matching depot build except the rod. Still love this example even tho the bolt feels almost as gritty as my BNZ 44 SS contract.

Yeah, this rifle is actually a cai import that had some dewat welds on the bolt keeping it shut. A previous forum member and owner of this rifle cut the welds and cleaned up the rifle. As too the crack it actually goes to the base of the rear sight, this rifle took a really hard fall once in its life. The handguard has been notched out a bit so that it could be put back on because of the weld. I'll get some pics of that to show it, I have shot this rifle tho and it's a lazer beam but I don't think I'll shoot it anymore because it's just so uncommon and last thing I wanna do is cause a bedding failure n crack the stock. Byf depot spare stocks are rather uncommon I really like the imperial marked cross bolt and early style of trigger guard because it's got the parade loop hole.
