I am posting some good detailed pics of my E/655 marked Mauser 1934.
There is a military acceptance stamp on the back left side of the frame. A military test proof is below that. There are 2 E/N proofs, one behind the rear sight and the other on the front barrel retention lug. The full serial number is located on the front left of the slide. The last 3 digits are located on the front barrel retention lug, above the trigger and on the back of the frame above the slide. The magazine has a Mauser logo on the base.
From what I understand military production of the 1934 lasted from 1940 to 1941 and this includes Army and Kriegsmarine examples. For the army the estimated procurement is 8000 and for the kreigsmarine 23000. Production stopped in favor for the HSC
