Additions to my late war collection

I have been looking to attempt to add one of all the 1945 manufactured dates and codes k98s for along time. I have a BYF 45, DOU45, BCD45, BNZ45 and recently was able to add an SVW45 and a SVW MB. The SVW45 came from the forum and the SVWMB came from gunbroker. It has some pitting on the barrel but beggars can’t be choosers. The search for a SWP45 continues!

Nice collection! I'm in the same boat. I've located a sheetmetal sight swp, but have to wait out it's current owner.
You need a VK.

I’m struck by the fact that finishes and shortcuts aside, in the last few months of the war they were still turning out very serviceable rifles.

Thought I would share my late DOT 44. If you like rough corncob stocks, your like this one!
James

"driving collectors to fits of frenzy" or whatever dude said. Seriously amazing panto bounce... all the way up to the bands.

Killer example. The more I look at it the more I love it.

We need more late war!! Really nice all around. Love the svw receiver and late dot’s undrilled for the cleaning rod are a favorite on mine.

A very cool grouping, thank you for sharing! And I agree, you should add Volkssturm rifles as well!

very nice Steve.. I happened to notice the MB sold.. I think you did OK on both in the grand scheme of things as they are incredibly hard to find in collector grade condition :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, anyone know the whereabouts of an SWP45? I actually do have a VK ...the only one that I can afford!
