AC45 B Block

Found this in a local trade a few days ago. Standard AC 45 with phosphate small parts. Sports a FNH Barrel but not the rare late war grips. It lacks the final acceptance stamp on the right slide. It's been a big year for me with German pistols, a couple of Vis 35's, a police luger, a pair of Browning's, and two P38's. Can't believe I ignored them for so long!

Looks like a really nice one! Probably never issued out from Walther and captured in the factory. They could grow on you. I have 3 b blocks and one matching c block.

Ever since I got my first one, I've been craving another! I don't think the AC45 tops it though.

Lot's of nice stuff going on there. I always like cog hammers on Walthers!

Have you researched the vet that brought the Mauser P.38 and bayonet back? I was able to do it on a P.38 ac45 b block. I was able to make contact with the vet’s niece by Facebook messenger and she provided me with a bunch of the vet’s photos while in WWII. It was really neat. Maybe you could do something like that with your bring back?

I have. There is a lot of info on the 630th TDB. I believe I bought the group from a member who got it from the family or the person who bought it from the family. That is cool what you did! Would love to have a picture of of the hero who brought it back, but I imagine it’s a touchy subject with the family if they sold it recently.

FNH Barrel looks like a previously rejected part. Scraping the bottom of the barrel in ‘45.
My CYQ has multiple rejected parts and love the cross hatched slide. Never shooting that piece LOL.
