AC41 at my LGS

Local gun shop has a 95%+ bluing AC41, wartime grips, no holster. They claimed it’s matching and that I “don’t know what I’m talking about” when I said it was technically a mismatch as it doesn’t have a numbered mag, let alone a matching numbered one. They’re asking $1950 + tax, which I know is crazy stupid. Curious what everyone feels is a fair price range for a pistol like that, with obviously no pictures :/

Second variation, most made, most common to find. 1st variation has AC on the trigger guard and brings a little more.

I had an opportunity to pick up one that sounds very similar for $1200 and thought it was too much. Maybe 900 to 1k?

That’s what I was thinking too. I told them without the matching mag it was a $1000 gun all day long. He said, “there’s no way having a matching mag increases it $950”, to which I replied, “you’re correct, b/c it’s not a $1950 gun matching”. Said they’d buy P.38s for $1100 all day long, I have two I’ve got to bring them tomorrow for that price [emoji23]

Best way to get an ac41 is have your dad give it to you. He picked it up in the 60's. I probably shot 500 rounds through this thing when I was a kid. Sadly it had an ersatz paper belt with Luftwaffe buckle and a hardshell holster I destroyed playing war in the hood back in the day. The belt went from perfect to being a lego kit overnight
