Gerhard Kirstein is the "Discussion Starter - Has 354 posts · Joined 2024" [This poster said:] "The weapon comes from the depot of the Bundeswehr's military technology study collection...It was also examined by German K98 sniper experts."

Previously on the Luger Forum, Gerhard Kirstein showed 1945 Krieghoff #13142 and authenticated it by saying: "The pistol is from my father he was in a Luftwaffe unit in " Lagerlechfeld" between Augsburg and Landsberg in Germany."

Unfortunately a bad rifle - someone built this, and was never a factory original side-rail sniper.
Those so called sniper experts were wrong.
 
I don’t think that anyone declared it a factory original set up. I think that the quality of the work looks very good however.
 
It’s funny: as soon as I saw a post about a SSR rifle being posted, I knew it was a fake. I didn’t even have to click on the post, see the pictures, whatever. I knew it was fake. So I clicked on the post and shocker, I was right.

And that says everything you need to know about SSR snipers.
