I was lucky to find this PPK in a LGS awhile ago. He got it from the grandaughter of the vet who captured it when he passed away. It has been in his closet drawer since WWII.

It is in the range in Steven Stepan's black book, I have an autographed & numbered copy.

I have a 1944 "commercial", but it's a PP. Same "plum" frame etc. I often wonder if this was a SS contract too like yours.

AirCommando,

Very nice ppk. Is the mag numbered? I have a SS pp early high polish serial 981173 with a matching spine numbered finger grip mag and another flat bottom spine numbered SS mag that is close but not matching and an AKAH black PP holster with the pp ink stamp still visible. I too have both the red book and black book. I'll work on posting photos. Your pistol is one of the later war time ppk's very nice.
