As some of you may have seen, Jsz had a rather serviceable 1928 FB Radom K98 carbine "project" posted in the trader last week. It had some issues (non-matching rear sight components and a drilled rear receiver bridge for a Lyman peep sight), however, the barrel, front sight, triggerguard, floorplate, and follower matched. I couldn't say no.

The assembly showed up rather quickly today, and didn't need too intense of a cleaning. I did have on hand a spare Polish Mauser bolt (albeit for a Wz.29), though I may be able to swap it out in the near future with something more appropriate. What was curious though is that I had a spare SCW K98 carbine stock in gorgeous condition, but for some reason the barreled action would not bed in the stock properly (seemed to have a high/pivot point near the recoil lug) and the triggerguard refused to push into the wood more than 80% of the way. Rather than mess up a desirable stock trying to get it to fit (with my nearly non-existent inletting skills), I looked to see what else I could use. Fortunately, I had a Polish K98-29 stock (Wz.29 pattern stock inletted for a small ring K98) from Apex from last year, and it fit beautifully. I am likely going to hang onto this as a "shooter" grade rifle.

Thanks again Jsz for offering this neat project for sale.
