One of my last acquisitions from 2024, a seller relatively local to me has this one posted and I offered to pay in cash and help him save on shipping, and he was very receptive to the offer. I have been meaning to add an early (pre-1927) PFK Warszawa rifle to my collection, as it has the early version of the Polish “chicken” Eagle. It is mostly matching, with the exceptions being:
- rear barrel band is mismatched, but Polish
- magazine follower is German
- bolt appears to be originally from a Polish K29 that was bent down and renumbered like a Wz.98a

Stock and handguard are marching. Stock still has a decent PFK proof on the butt and a faint shadow of the PFK proof on the bottom of the semi-pistol grip.

It isn’t the rarest year of production, but early PFK carbines are still relatively rare.

While the bluing is quite worn down to maybe 5% above the woodline, below the wood it is quite well preserved.

I like it! Seeing your collection of Polish rifles is starting to give me a itch for finding some myself when the funds are available too do so.
