1917 JPS Gewehr 98 Bad Bolt?

I saw this one pop up in my usual online search and while the rest of it looked fine, the bolt threw up a red flag for me with the missing Imperial acceptance and number off at an angle on the bolt body. No pictures of the buttplate so no idea is this one went through a depot or not but does this look like depot work to you guys? My initial thought was that this one has a humped bolt.

Im Depot wurden ja Teile oft neu nummeriert.....
Der schaut mir aber etwas komisch aus!
Sind auf der Schaftkappe Depotmarkierungen?

Looks nice otherwise, if the price was right you could buy it and swap the bolt.
True, but then you have to factor in the price of a new bolt body. I've had a similar thought many times with obviously renumbered bolts and every single time after I did the math I'd still come out ahead just finding an honest bolt m/m.

if the price is right is also a huuuuuuuge caveat because 99 times in 100 someone holding a gun where the can plainly see "the numbers match" they don't to hear that it's been humped and is actually less desirable than a bolt m/m. To you or me, at least. So they tell us to go away and move on to the next person who hopefully doesn't know/ doesn't care / etc.

It's an estate auction and it has a bid on it for $1000 already. If it's anything like sales lately, it can either go for a reasonably fair price or for an absolutely insane price like a Spandau 1916 I saw on GB recently.

Yep, this is what I was getting at above if it's an auction. Someone who doesn't know better thinks this is a matching rifle and is about to get a life lesson. Or they won't and it will get sold on to someone else as a matching rifle in a few years to a few decades.
