1917 Erfurt Kar98a mm block

Here is a really nice rifle that was offered to me privately kinda out of the blue. I saw just a few quick cellphone photos of it and decided just to buy it. The rifle is in original 1917 form without any alterations or reworking, 100% matching…. I will let the photos do the talking on this piece. Enjoy

Super rifle Jory. Perhaps it's confirmation bias, but it always seems to me that high condition Kar98a's are more common than like condition Gewehr 98s. Thanks for sharing.

I've seen vv suffixes as a high point.

I believe it was a hard stop at this point, because I have seen 1917 98a receivers over-stamped with an eight over the seven..
