That is a spectacular sniper school photo . I have been lucky enough to buy a few such photos over the years , but I have not been lucky enough to buy them all !!!!

Rick what I have found is that the Earlier Ajack Scope which have the 1-8 range dials have the locking screw facing forward and the Later Ajack Scope have locking screw facing rearward . I do not know exactly were the braking point is when the locking screw went from facing forward to facing...

The fellow collector who told you that it had to do with orientation of 1-8 is correct .Here are pics showing the difference in range dials

Completely Fake !!!! This happens way too often someone buys a piece and then they want to verify if its good or not . IMHO when wanting to purchase You should ask before purchasing not the other way around , just my opinion .

I know a 43 Single Claw would not or should not have a Checkered butt plate , the lack of serial number on barrel is what had/has me confused .

No serial number on the Barrel are You sure its a 44 and not a 43 SC ?? Beautiful Single Claw rifle regardless of the Year !!!!

Very nice looking rifle IMHO , I really like the over all looks of the whole rifle but there is something about the stock that really makes this rifle snap . Nothing beats a great looking stock . Thanks for sharing pics

Yes correct focal adjustment , but it certainly appears to have sunshade/rainshield . If you look closely you can see horizontal line were sunshade and lens come together .

The SSR in this photo has something that I find very interesting and unique . The SSR appears to be a Sauer SSR with Ajack 4X90 Scope . Can anyone else point out what I am referring to as being very interesting and unique about this SSR .

The Lovec Scopes were produced in Pragua Czechoslovakia . There was Lovec Scopes used by German during WW2 on their Turret Mount Rifles and also SSR/Short Side Rail Rifles . This Scope is not one of the mentioned scopes .

Has your gunsmith every built a any Repro German Sniper Rifle before ?? If not I have a suggestion which You may not agree with but this is the only route I would go . There is a very well known gunsmith that is usually always recommended for such a build here his name is Eric Johnson...
