    Need help for my K98

My guess is this is a Mauser Berlin finished K98k circa 1943 with a partially scrubbed receiver. Would like to see a crisp picture of the top of the receiver which should have a top centered E/26 final acceptance. B.

Sauer SSR prototype with offset feed ramp

I wanted to get this up for discussion as I am assuming will be controversial. Not making any calls on this one for now. This is the same rifle thats in the Senich book. Also these are cell phone pics so excuse the quality. And of course the stock has been cleaned and bleached - typical old...

Picture Reference of Bad Serial Numbers - Forgeries

Ok this will be a sticky and will be helpful to document bad and fake serial numbers. With the forgeries getting better over time, this will be useful to log the various techniques.

    1937 S/42 98K Matching SN's

Its totally up to you. I still have a few non-repaired duffle cut rifles in my collection. Maybe one day I'll get to it but not a priority. B/

    1937 S/42 98K Matching SN's

You have a really nice original Mauser Oberndorf late 1937 with an early laminated stock. Rig is totally original. While not mint, its in nice as found condition. A very nice collectable K98k! Also, the duffle cut does not detract from the value. That's my opinion. As long as the cut is...

    Searching for byf 43

This rifle is actually detailed in Volume IIA. I likely was the buyer but I sold it (likely to forum member) some years ago. The rifle being in the book helps but the new owner may not want to give it up. Good luck!

WW1 butcher Navy . Looks to be a turd

Some idiot bought that bayonet on Hibid and was astounded at that price for a common bayonet. True stupidity.

Trying to Find Early K98 Bayonet Chart

Andy, would be happy to add an updated table to include the full date range of 1934-1945. This would be included in Volume IV so would be great if we can present the expanded data range. B.
