It is very late for a G24t and trends suggest they are damn difficult to find w/o problems...especially this late,, dou/42 is only known to the early 3000 k-block and most have at least a few issues (not rare but most have one problem or another) Problem free the rifle was worth what it sold...

I agree, I was impressed by the quality of his historical context! Short and concise, but not superficial... I couldn't have done better as I tend to be distracted by the details and trivia... or as Peter once commented "preachy", but that is a natural flaw of someone who devours books instead...

Not a rare maker-date to be sure, but 1916 and this original & matching is not common... your display effort is superb, missing nothing and good quality photos, catching the BC is a real challenge for the best flippers but you caught it easily! Krupp blank is right for range, these tend to group...

There are worse projects for sure, though it rarely pays to undertake such (extensive) projects.... you will rarely break even on such adventures, but I like GW also, at least until 1940, after that they get less desirable.
