    1910 Spandau G.98M

In addition to bayonets I’m curious about slings. My G.98m has a swivel sling mount on the stock so it would appear as though I wouldn’t be able to use a G98 sling. Were these being packed around with modified slings from G98s or would they have been using K98 slings? Theres a (claimed) Weimar...

    1910 Spandau G.98M

Sorry, I’m still ignorant to most of these abbreviations. Are you saying that this rifle is marked to Jager, pioneer and then in late 1927 went to RM? Couple of questions at that point. Who are Jager/Pioneer and RM and what is WuK?

I may have one more reason to post in this thread. What type of bayonet would have accompanied the average G.98M that didn’t go to live with the Spaniards? Were they re-issued with their G.98 bayonets or with a different style? I purchased a bayonet when I bought it that is more akin to a sword...

Not anticipating selling it but I got a bug to find out what its value was and found it hard to attain that info. More than anything I’m looking to see if this is something that stayed within Germany and saw the rise of the reich or if it got shipped out to Spain. Thank you for the reply!
