Hello , my dowels are a work in progress also to say , I've got different sizes I've used , but mostly made from key way stock I've got on the shelf , it's not perfect but I haven't done anything else to it . It's 95 % better I think , I think I'll leave as is now .

Hello , I picked up a 1917 kar98a about a year ago, it's all matching, it's my only kar98a, made by erfurt, and I brought it home and stuck it in safe , not really looking at it until now , why ? What was the purpose for it being made , who used them , it's shorter then a gew98 , bent bolt ...

The rifle is a 1917 erfurt, kar98a that I found about a year ago, there's no unit markings , I want something that would be correct for it , which would be more correct for it , or just as long as it has a flash guard it would be OK?

Hello , I was wondering if there is a bayonet made just for a kar98a, the bayonet lug is pretty much under the front sight and I see many different bayonets and want to know if it took a certain bayonet, or just any kind works for it ? Mike

The Crack your pointing at is worn away from rubbing against something so yes the last bit that's missing on the end either the same or worn thin and whoever probably ripped it off from getting there hand , there are many marks from rubbing against something and they l8ne up with the lines in...

This picture shows the side of the metal and grip , no wire wheel removed the metal , it clearly rode against something hard, and eventually worn the grip , after the metal was worn away, if you look closely you will see groves in the metal that line up with them in the wood ,
