I was wondering if anyone out there reproduced the wider bands for the late model long side rail mounts. I was told the banded base was not different between narrow and wide and that it was only band width.

Photo appears to be 43 at the earliest based on equipment. I am still undecided if it has the sunshade or not, it appears far too short in the front to be that.

At my disposal I have zeiss zielvier and am wondering if on a last year production low turret if this scope is appropriate for that mount or a high turret. Banging my head against the wall trying to build something historically accurate, rifle is 44 dated but the mount will cover the maker mark...

A few questions, as im building a clone of this rifle (not on a bnz so if it is ever sold it cannot be mistaken as a real one to dupe someone)... did these ever get the extended "sniper" safety? Did the zeiss scopes on these rigs ever get rubber eye cups? Lastly im using an accumounts...

Looking for how to operate the scope, never worked with 80 year old optics before

Basically I'm building my first sniper rifle, a single claw clone with an original (postwar I believe albeit steel body) zeiss zielvier scope. Any and all help appreciated, image attached below
