    I've thought about it but I'd like to preserve it in the way it came back from the war, I think it keeps it unique from other Mausers and by grandfather carved his initials where the bolt disassembly hole would be so I couldn't bring myself to trade it lol

    Pictures Thanks for the reply just a little background on this piece, My great grandfather with the PPCLI captured this bayonet and k98 byf 44 then brought them back in pieces to Canada back to his farm in Alberta where he used them to put down cows on the farm for many years.
