Did the Folding Entrenching Tool (Klappspaten) ever get modified? Specifically was the handle ever shortened? Would this have happened with any e-tool? Thanks; Christian

I picked up a Kar.98 ERFURT 1915 and it has an proof mark that I can't find in any of my books. It is an M over stamp A on the receiver and on the pistol grip of the stock. Has anyone seen this marking before?

Just tought I would share some photos of my new to me VZ-24. It has a couple of interesting stock stamps, but the reciever has been scrubed. I think this may be a slovak stamp?
