    Are you sure its rust on the metal,to me it looks like dried linseed oil which would be easily removed with car painters thinners and brass wool.Many more clear pictures would be a great help.

    I have never seen a BNZ 41 with that much blue??The trigger guard has very little blue.I agree with RyanE about the missing ring on the front of the receiver.Here are some images of my G suffix BNZ 41 Marine for comparison.

    Realy great pictures, I love them ,my father was in the 8th army in North Africa [New Zealander],He often talked about the 10s of thousands Axis persons surrendering ,[Mainly Italians] if they were in a lay up they would fire these axis weapons,in the last seen direction of the enemy, 45 degree up.

    Wow that's a keeper,much better than my example b suffix.I have one K98k each from all 7 manufacturers from the year 1941 and the ar was the hardest to find.

    I think my all matching MP 38 is the most special to me.Vet returned from north Africa from a vet who lived close to me.more pictures on picture reference here.
