It's not a Mitchell's I wouldn't buy one of those fakes... I know it's not worth as much in the collector market as a numbers matching K98K but, even though it's a RC it still shoots well and is a Mauser action.. and that's all that matters to me.

Purchased it today and I'm curious... My receiver has the Markings BYF which I know means Odendorf.. and the number 44 which means 1944.. but, in the center there's an X.. which I heard was supposed to be a Russian capture but the importer mark says it imported from Germany... So, does anyone...
