    Ww2 bring back Mauser

Nice score. made by Gustloff Werke in 1942 according to the code. BYS indicates barrel code for Ruhrstahl AG. Looks to be in good shape from here. Great to own such an heirloom. Does the bolt match the gun's serial number by the way?

No SS contracts from Waffenfabrik Brünn (dot) plant..correct?

For sure heavy mech! Just stick an SS stamp anywhere to fool the unwary. Can't even be bothered to look at an original. Never forget the 4 inch SS marking on the stock of a 98k from some retard.

Very Weird Nazi bare rifle action, with Photo's

Man think a few volumes could be written on just all the faked shite that is out there. Afraid it will never end and the unwary/stupid will continue to get hosed.

    Questions about my potential first

$2200 sounds awful steep for a much more common code BYF-44.

Overall looks pretty damn good Stan. Man does $200 sound like a smokin deal these days.

    Information/thoughts on this K98?

Have a 1940 Borsigwalde. It has the flat milled butt plate. Thought all of them came with the flat plate from 1940.

    1940 42 k98

Would the serial on the stock also be on the area under pistol grip of stock called "keel" on a 1940 42 code rifle. My 1940 Borsigwalde 243 98k has the serial stamped there also.

Too bad the maker and year was ground off the receiver ring. Hopefully the gun will be a good "shooter grade"

Good thing ya ask here first. Numbers are an abortion! Hate to see people get hosed. Honesty can be a rare commodity these days unfortunately.

Turd Reich Special "original mauser with ss markings" byf 43 6487 runes

Not surprised! Sometimes I think they just want a 98k no matter what. Probably have regrets after they find out they got hosed though.
