    G.41 duv43 - odd receiver hole

Possibly a deactivation hole? Like this Walther PP was done: https://handgunsoftheworld.com/product/walther-pp-7-65mm-nazi-wwii-issue-full-rig-sabotaged/

A closer photo of the receiver might help.

    my DUV 44

“what is this mark” Some unknown type of in-house inspection mark. There’s these little marks like that on many Axis guns.

    my DUV 44

No, it was a known collector’s rifle who is now deceased. It was a mismatched shooter grade and was probably sold off long ago. I got it from the collector’s web site that he had as I don’t believe it ever made it to this web site.

    New BYF 43 C serial P38

Neat pistol! In November, I added a P.38 byf43 c block to my collection as well. Mine has a “dusty blue” slide. Hard to tell, but I don’t think yours is one of those. They were sporadic here and there in that letter block. I think you’re referring to a “jvd” mag.

    my DUV 44

Wow, very nice G.43. First report of this rifle. The rifle just before this one that was reported is G.43 duv44 #5392f. Now days, anything G.43/K.43 is a “king’s ransom” in price. That rifle alone is worth several thousand dollars now. It’s crazy.

    byf44, p38 Phosphate, d suffix

Very nice! I have two, a little later phosphate d block pistols. The sloppy S/F is Mauser’s signature for sure on these.

Dang, that’s a close one to that serial number.

K.43 qve45 #878a Now it’s being sold at Legacy for quite a bit of money….$5,250.00! With no mention of the stock being WRONG! Come on Legacy. https://www.legacy-collectibles.com/new-items/exceptional-german-k-43-scarce-code.html 1/29/24 - This is the most uncommon variation of the German...

Opinions on this German High Power

Finish looks refinished by the photos. Grips do not have that wartime look-too new in appearance. Grip screw doesn’t look correct. Holster is post war. Collector quality-it’s not there. Shooter quality-depends on what he’s asking for it and if you want a refinished one for that.

Late 1944 Walther PPK with two maching magazines

Very nice SS PPk! I agree it was probably carried just like that. That’s a pretty late serial number too.

    Luger and P-38 book recommendations

”The P.38 Pistol Spreewerk Production by Jan Balcar and Ron Clarin (This book is mainly about Spreewerk production but there’s so much more in it that pertains to all wartime P.38’s) I didn’t know if you have Warren Buxton’s “The P.38 Pistol” trilogy or “The P.38 Pistol” by Alexander Krutzek...

K43 acquisition - any info appreciated.

Thanks, wish I could but I live many, many miles from…..there. Probably the best thing is to take it to AZ and out of there.

K43 acquisition - any info appreciated.

The stock looks right to me from my end of things so far. I don’t see the black stains in the crevices of the wood you would normally see from a cleaning job. I definitely am subject to being wrong. Of course an in-hand inspection is always preferable. I would want to see the stamps I...

K43 acquisition - any info appreciated.

Yep. It’s original with the capital “L” on the stock. Nice looking rifle. According to my serial number data base, your rifle falls in with a bunch if rifles that had the Durofol handguards. Not to worry as they were assembled here and there with wood and Durofol handguards. BLM rifles...
  17. Tiger 2 Tank

Rescued an "almost bubba'ed" rifle, looking for some information.

Too bad it’s in the shape that it’s in. The K.43 ac44 q blocks are interesting as they are a mix of “G.43“ and “K.43“ marked rifles. And, there’s all kinds of little anomalies in this letter block. It’s also the last letter block before the switch over to ac45 rifles. The highest known K.43...

    Qve k43

Can’t really find a correct BLM stock because they were all numbered to the gun. Unless you wouldn't care if it was a mismatch. Walther was the only manufacturer that decided to stop numbering their stocks in ‘44.

    Qve k43

    1st report on that rifle.
  20. Tiger 2 Tank

    Qve k43

We really need pics to see what’s going on. Yes, there should be 2 final side e/214 stamped stock proofs on a K.43 qve45. If you provide the serial number I might have history on it from my serial number data base. If not, it’ll be a new entry.
