    STG45 w/rail

A shame someone added a reproduction rail to an original rifle. The mount is also reproduction, as are the bands and the screws.

SS Double Claw Rifles and Objective Mount Rifles (Suhler Einhakmontage)

I'm not sure I understood you. bnz4 with serial number 3812c cannot be single rune, since the SS contract rifles were always without letter suffix to the serial. Can you post a closeup of the receiver and barrel markings of this rifle?

It is the other side of the image. Shows that it was pulled from a picture album.

Well, since auction has ended on Monday with someone buying it, here the link to the ended auction so that you can judge yourself better: https://www.ebay.de/itm/116436138159

You are right, it doesn't even have a sunshade. Must be a Zielvier. That is what you get for looking at pictures on a mobile :D . Hmm .. it doesn't look like cupped, but to me it kind of looks too thick for flat either? Attached a blown up and sharpened cutout from the image.

    Sniper pictures

I know. But I yet have to see a Gew98 to K98k conversion with scope that has a milled barrel band, and atop of that a Type III SSR mount with wingnut. BTW, on the contrary - the two rifles left of him both appear to have H barrel bands. And if I was to guess, no front sight covers. So either...

I think cupped, just super tough to make out. Note all milled front barrel band.

From an eBay auction. Appears to be Type III SSR - seems to have a wingnut. A dkl+ scope?

    Experimental Mauser 1902 Gew98 Serial 10 (or 1?) in 6mm Mauser Caliber

Hey Jon, just sent you an e-mail since you anyway have my mail address. Thanks for the page from the French list. Perfectly fits too. The stock of this rifle is stamped 4/1/29A, this gun is the 4th on the list that you show, so once again the "numbers match".

    bnz45 T-Block

Specially for @Tiger 2 Tank to compare with the one he is looking at. Originally did not intend to post since the T-Block of 1945 seems anyway to be one of the best documented ones in the reference section, plus most are stone mint atop. Well, this one falls into that very same category. So...

    K98k bnz45 mismatch

Oh BTW, I own #3896T, it is pretty similar, except for a matching bolt and not making it to the US (for that reason and when comparing I also believe that the serial you look at must have made it out the factory). Have never posted it for anyway having very close serials in the picture...

    K98k bnz45 mismatch

A friend of mine once told me that these kind of dings you can remove with an damp iron, or was it a wet rag to the stock and then using the iron? Since the fibers are only compressed and not cut these dings can be undone with that method. It is tough to tell where it was mismatched. Since...

    Experimental Mauser 1902 Gew98 Serial 10 (or 1?) in 6mm Mauser Caliber

Is there any chance you can get me higher resolution versions of the dimensions and the loading so I can read them? Thanks to you and Jon!

    Experimental Mauser 1902 Gew98 Serial 10 (or 1?) in 6mm Mauser Caliber

@Fal Grunt Jon has seen that rifle too, and if I remember he owns serial 2. Wonder how similar or different his rifle is from that one here. Does he also have the drawings of the 6x58mm round? I think I'm maybe going to ask a friend and see if he can do a few rounds for me.

    VG1 code qve

Well .. at least to me the barrel reminds me of the K.43 barrel. Contour, proof and being pressed and then pinned in place. Not surprised that it therefore uses the K.43 magazine too, and as a result to this the feed angle may work too. To my understanding Walther developed this rifle, they were...

... and rest of detail closeups. I really hope they now cover about everything one may be interested in. Also played around with the stock a little bit and found the correct position to hold it to finally be able to get a good picture of the scripted v stock stamp.

Well, you beat me to it .. took them today. But not going to disassemble this shite again, lol. As a result to this took pictures of everything that could *POSSIBLY* interest someone. Nightmare to put it back together again. VG1_16.jpg shows the four parts that will need to align, and spring and...
