Does anyone know what this mark is between the date and code on the receiver of this Russian Capture? It looks like it was a circle within a circle with a sideways K in the middle. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated....

No, it's not that tall -- more like 6 or 7mm from the bottom of the blade's dovetail to the tallest point.
