K43 ac45 with matching numbers mount

Earlier this year bought an ac45 coded K43 from a dealer who purchased this rifle decades ago on a gun show in the US for his personal collection and now due to age selling off his personal collection. It is a pretty mint rifle with hardly any traces of ever being used. Best of course is the matching numbers mount that it comes with, despite one of the two scope bands is partially broken on one side (note the difference in coloring - I really wonder if that was an hardening issue which also resulted in the color difference and therefore one day breaking?). For what I can tell this is a no suffix rifle, not sure if there could be a letter hidden under the stock? Also, it has that dustcover that is pushed open and then stays open. Oh, and speaking of oddities: I somewhat really loved that sling frog which itself is duotone, being made of a combination of brown and black leather.

Very nice. I think you are right about no letter. Suffix usually follows the serial and it doesn’t seem crude enough for later blocks.

That’s an amazing piece! The chatter marks left on the stock make it for me, perfect example of the late war rush to get anything and everything out!

Took me until right now to notice that the leather covers the scope markings, but for what I remember it is a ddx scope. If someone needs to know to establish patterns, I can also check its serial and post it.

Congratulations. Absolutely stellar rifle in itself and the matching mount is the ultimate icing. I've not been fortunate to land an example with matching mount.

Definitely a nice one for sure! In my serial number listings it is a first report. The next rifle is a dual marked G.43/K.43 ac45 #982. That one has a milled “cosmetic” receiver. So, good one there.

There is definitely interest in your bcd. They are the really hard to find ones. I have very few in my serial number listings, so to see one is always fun. They are a little different in markings. There should be a little e/S proof in the sling eyelet on the stock. So, look for that. Sometimes they are very hard to see.

An "absolut" stunner of a rifle! Definitely worthy of the sticky, really nice seeing the chatter on this one. I can't imagine there are many K43 snipers still around in this nice of condition.
