1887 Spandau 71/84 "Kaiser Alexander" Garde Grenadier Regt. Nr. 1 (Recruiting Depot)

Hi All,

I came across these photos while reorganizing a few things.

A nice Spandau 71/84 is a "Dog Bites Man" story, but thought I'd share related to my unit post. This one is KAR marked (to their recruiting depot) and clearly lived an easy life. It does not have the stock dings that you sometimes see on other nice 71/84s and the bluing on the barrel and high gloss parts is lovely.

Not much aside for that, just another data point for the study and reference.

You know the finish is good when I initially mistook the reflection of you in the rear band photographing the rifle for a dent.

Lol, yeah, gotta love that high gloss bluing they used on the bands and trigger guard..

Lol, you probably don't have room for boring Imperial stuff like this with all those civics you got in there!

I don't think they get any nicer than that condition wise, that's a beauty of a 71/84! And with a cool unit marking on top of it all too, congrats!
